Professors

Simon Morrison, Professor of Music, Director of Graduate Studies in Musicology, Princeton University wrote a particular statement, please read the statement here.

“We write, as Princeton faculty members, to express our support for the undergraduate students’ call for reform of the policies and procedures governing the university’s handling of sexual harassment and assault cases.

We urge the University to take seriously the students’ call for policies and procedures that integrate restorative justice and intersectional analysis into its approach to addressing these issues on campus. We support the students’ demand that the University uphold the principles of Title IX, while also taking additional measures to prevent and address sexual violence. We commend the administration’s commitment to conducting an external review of its implementation of Title IX. The students’ testimony makes clear, however, that we have much work to do to achieve Princeton’s stated goal of fostering an environment in which students feel safe from sexual violence and in which survivors of sexual harassment and violence are supported.”
